A local preschool will be able to purchase an awning for their playground thanks to a $2,000 donation from the Arvest Foundation.
The gift was announced today at the Inter-Faith Community Preschool in Fort Smith. Amy Sights of Arvest Bank was on hand to present the check.

The Inter-Faith Community Preschool strives to provide education for economically underserved children in the Fort Smith area, regardless of race, creed, color or ethnic origin, and to encourage developmentally appropriate intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social growth through personalized attention and innovative programs. The Inter-Faith Community Preschool also strives to offer a safe, nurturing environment for the children in the program while cultivating spiritual awareness and dedication to Christian values.

The donation from the Arvest Foundation will help to fund the construction of an awning for the Inter-Faith Preschool’s playground, which will create a safe and comfortable area for the students to play.

“Inter-Faith Community Preschool has kept its doors open for 51 years to families and children in need. All donations, whether monetary or in kind, are appreciated. The Arvest Foundation’s generosity will allow us to create a more engaging learning experience for our students at all levels, while helping us provide a healthier environment outside with less sun exposure,” said Ann Law, executive director of Inter-Faith Community Preschool. “By expanding our capabilities, we’ve given our students and teachers an even greater avenue for success.”

“We are pleased to present this donation on behalf of the Arvest Foundation to support Inter-Faith Community Preschool’s efforts to provide greater educational opportunities for their students,” said Sights, a Private Banking advisor for Arvest. “This donation is just one of many we have made throughout the area. It demonstrates the foundation’s ongoing commitment to education and to the children in the region.”
